Helen Williams Mendenhall, 86, of Athens, died Tuesday morning, August 20, 2013 at Athens Regional
Medical Center.
A lifelong resident of McMinn County, she was a daughter of the late Jess and Cora Bledsoe Williams
and was also preceded in death by her husband, James Mendenhall, three sisters, Juanita Bledsoe,
Dorthy Jackson and Frankie Shelton, and a brother, Paul Williams.
She was a member of East Athens Baptist Church.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Shelia and Bob Riepe of Kingston; one granddaughter,
Lindsey Raymer; one grandson and his wife, Jamie and Jennifer Raymer; one sister Sarah Carter of Athens,
