To Sylvia and the Gossett family, I feel so honored to have had the opportunity to visit with Sylvia and Claude over the years since my arrival at Auburn University in 2001. You were both so warm and engaging with me, and it saddens me that our earthly encounters with Claude have come to an end. Both you and Claude are SO loved by former students and faculty at Auburn University. Undoubtedly, your time spent at AU was very rich and God-driven, as evidenced by the success you experienced with the AU Gospel Choir among other university and community endeavors. I am so thankful that you graced me with personal visits when you traveled to Auburn. I treasure, now more than ever, every opportunity that I spent in conversation with you and Claude. I know that you and your family are grieving, but I hope that the Holy Spirit has translated to you the prayers and love that continue to flow in your direction! You remain in my thoughts and prayers!
